you can use any kind of fruit you want, i think its best with blackberry or peach
Melt 1 stick butter or margarine in 9” baking dish Mix the following in bowl: 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar pinch salt 1 tsp baking powder 2/3 cup milk Pour mixture into melted butter, but do NOT stir. On top of batter pour 2 ½ cups unsweetened fruit or berries (if using sliced cooking apples heat through in a saucepan with a little sugar & cinnamon first). Bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes. |

You know what? I make this with self rising flour.

update,, did a blueberry cobbler over the weekend, and had all kinda rave reviews,, so try it,, it works well,, and try adding some pure vanilla extract,,
