“Over The Hill”

I must now admit.
I finally made it.
Over the hill I went.
Now I’m here to vent.

Who was it that said?
You still have plenty of days ahead.
I mean did they forget.
Or do not want to admit.

That half our life is now behind.
And we have started to loose our mind.
I look down and have only on one sock.
Looking in the mirror leaves me in shock.

My eyes are no longer what they were.
The letters I read are now a blur.
Glasses I buy from the dollar store.
Oh what else can I take anymore?

Once I use to sleep all night.
Now I must leave on the bathroom light.
Down the hall I must go.
Not as fast as I use to be for now I’m slow.

At everything I do.
Oh I must be a sight what a show.
Old age has crept my way.
2nd child hood here it comes my way.
Opps I must go out to play.

I have heard so many jokes after turning the BIG 50 had to write something. Shshs I don't feel any different then I did 5 years ago lol But....according to all I was old then too lmao shs
