I read a book a year or so ago that related gods plan to a story and i
loved it but sometimes i have a hard time seeing myself in it. i understand that we all have our bit parts but it seams to me that things in my life are just foly and that there seams to be no real plan for me. i dont bleive that god creates junk but i feel like he made me for no reason sometimes.. i guess my question is does anyone feel like they are itaking part of gods plan for you |

Class, I was repressed, suppressed, maybe even oppressed for so many
years. I not only lived in a closet, I spent many years burrowing a hole beneath it. But in spite of my inability to be open and free I upheld truth and a little at a time, sometimes even just one person at a time, my truth made a difference. I was not always aware of this for a long time. Even after setting myself free of that hole, free of that closet, my self worth was in question. I had missed out on so much of what I saw as the bigger picture. I did not partake in marches, I was not a feminist, however at some point I took account of who I was, where I have been and what I have done and I see a trail blazed in some small part of this world. People I have changed, people I have influenced, one at a time. I sat on a fence and I held a f*#kn gate open and led people through, let them see what they were afraid of. I see now there is no need to hold the gate open, the hinges have rusted off and little by little the gate is falling down. Now I can proceed with what I am passionate about, opening peoples minds to acceptance, continueing a struggle for equality on an open playing field. I have always had purpose, I just didn't know it. We all have abilities, we all have that which we are pasionate about. An artist who see's truth in color or structure, a writer who sparks the imagination and takes one on a journey they might not otherwise take. A reporter whose pictures shame us or make us proud, the computer geek who has no formal education, they all have passions. Find your's, it does not have to save the world, it does not have to make you rich or popular. It only has to fulfill you. If you are satisfied, if you feel as worthy to be here as even the lowliest of poeple, then you belong here and you have a purpose. |

i dont know if this will mean much to you but.....
IT's all about timing. One day. One moment in time u will know. Jus like fallin in love, u hear people say it all the time. " You just know" That's kinda the same thing as what Im getting at. There will come a event, day, tragedy, celebration.... something that will spark your heart and u will know what at that exact moment in time what God has planned for you. Just continue to pray....and i hope the best for you. |

each of us has a calling... whether or not you follow that calling is
another matter. It may be that God wants you just where you are. You never know what the big picture plan is, SO i never worry about it much. i TRY TO DO WHAT HE WANTS ME TO DO, BUT SOMETIMES ITS CONFUSING... is it what he wants or what I want...... thats where prayer and study pay off. |

Rambill is right in that God has things in motion all of the time. For
non-regilionists, The universe is working in the background all of the time, even just to make our sun and solar system rotate around our galxey center.'Nature' is always in the works. |

Jeff, the strongest a faith can be is allowing yourself to question its
roots. Continueing to read and study the Bible is not the answer for everyone. You have to allow yourself to question without fear of Holy retribution. Look at Bible history, look and archeolical material conderning history of the times before and after monotheism, the belief in One God. Just because you do this will not make you non-Christian or a bad person. It will instill in you either a deeper reason to have faith or a reason to continue to question. But both will give you freedom for the simple fact that YOU are the one developing the depth of your faith, based on your decisions and thoughts and not beholding to the teachings of others. |

at my college which had religious roots (i was there for a non religious
degree) they had weekly meetings for the students and had Christan bands. alot of these people seamed to be rather more cheer leading for god than doing anything about it. most of these people were also very hated of people that lived lifes that they were not agreeing with. a friend of mine had been going thur some depression problems and made a remark about wanting to get drunk and some girl who we didn't even know came up to us and started berating us about the idea. yes it wasn't the smartest choice but it wasn't this persons place to get on their care (me and my friends were taking care of him).. ive gone thru some stuff in my past that has brought me closer to god and i not understand that the hard paths ive had to take are for a reason.. |

everything's a damn mystery...i want answers and i wanted them
yesterday!!... seriously jeff, i know the bible mentions of "people not knowing the way out" or something to that effect in the end times...all i know is, i try to maintain a concious contact with my creator as much as possible, praying for knowledge of his will for my life, and, to the best of my ability, carrying that out..whatever that may be. |

Your purpose will come. You are so young and have much time before the
true intentions are there. Time will bring you these answers shugar. |

this is a really good question. In my personal experience it's not
everything that I can see... Sometimes it's a flashback of a person or event that I go, "aha! that's what that was for!" Other times I feel like my purpose is that THING in the corner of my eye that I just can't turn quick enough to catch just a glimpse of it. But, be encouraged, God has "started a great work in you more than you could ever dare to dream or hope!" |

That is so much the truth Sammie... And remember my brother, that of
nothing else you are here to provide an example to others. I personally feel that we all ave several "missions in life" that god wants done, and in between these missions ir even during them the one mission everyone has is to show faith and trust, and to be there if someone needs them. An old friend of mine who when I first met him I just shrugged off as unimportant opened my eyes to this. He came in and sat down with me about a year after I had met him. We had talked maybe ten times that year (he was inmotor pool I as in linen), and although we were definitely riendly we werent friends. We sat and talked about god for almost three hours. Now that may not surprise to o many, but the surprise is the fact that it started at midnight, and he had to be on duty at 5am. He had seen that I needed someone to talkt o, and that i was struggling inmmy faith as you are now, and he came in and talked to me about it. When he left, I knew that I could go to him day or night any time nomatter what and talk. Sometimes, the only reason we are here is to provide an ear or to tralk. |

Great question 'class..'
... And since you raise the question, it begs for an answer! ... and the answer can only be one of three choices: 'YES', 'NO', 'MAYBE' !!! It is that simple. And it is each our choice to pick the one that works for us. 'YES', CLEARS YOUR SOUL, YOUR HEART AND YOUR BRAIN. Kind of like a child who's truly loved by his parents, and feels loved by his parents. He can go on and get busy with all kinds of projects and activities in life, where in turn he'll spread his loving to others! 'NO' and 'MAYBE', are touchier. With 'maybe', there is doubt and hesitancy. Never quite sure. Things are OK but not great! Always left wondering if there might be more! ... and waiting for more!!! As for the love, well not sure again!!! Not sure we have enough to spread, so we calculate and may not to give too much away, ... in case!!! With 'no', it's downright hard. We feel hard done by, and angry! Life is unfair, and it mostly 'owes' us. When's MY TURN COMING? We ask the world, life and God. Definitely no love to spare, we're running a huge love deficit. So maybeGod gave us a choice between the three and nothing else. His plan, and US in it? ... is just that, HIS PLAN!!! Not ours! So let's not worry about HIS stuff! Let's just say YES he's got a plan, cause that's the choice HE gave us! YES his got a plan, and let HIM worry about it. That freeS you up INSTANTLY to follow your passions, follow the things that touch you and move you!!! Of course YOU have them, we all do!!! The only thing is, when we preoccupy ourselves too much with figuring out God's plan, which is an impossible task to start with, we have no time or presence left to DO what THERE IS TO DO, AND LOVE WHAT THERE IS TO LOVE. I USED TO LOOK FOR SOMETHING I WOULD LOVE DOING, UNTIL I STARTED LOVING WHAT I DO!!! (I try and myself of that every time I start doubting!) |
