Would any of you ladies find it strange or akward to date a guy in a wheelchair? I'm in one and have been for most of my life, and I was just wondering.

not strange or awkward...
perhaps a bit more challenging but if you're a good person and you click with 'her', your physical incapabilities shouldn't even be a factor

i think the right girl wouldnt mind. i wouldnt mind personally but it would make things difficult cause i love walking on the beach and hiking in the mountains and stuff which i know is hard on some ppl in wheelchairs my best friend is in one half of the time because she only has one leg.

but i dont think a girl should judge you for it :)

My father was in a chair too. He was married and had 8 kids. It'll happen.

To be honest have never had that situation come up. So I really can't answer what I would do for I do believe that if the chemistry is there and your really In-Love with them then you can overcome anything that lays ahead.

As some have said there is someone out there for everyone and may you find that special one that makes you smile from within. bigsmile

I dated a girl once who was almost totally blind. It woulda worked too, if she wasn't-

- hung up on being blind, and
- so fiercely independent... I'd try to help with something and she'd get an attitude about doing it herself.

With that being said, it's all a matter of what floats your boat. Some people are more hung up about things like disabilities than others.

I dated a guy in a wheelchair. The relationship didn't last but it had nothing to do with his disability... unless being a horse's a$$ is considered a disability.

Haha I'm kinda independent myself I dont let people help me unless I absolutely need it, BUT I dont go looking for pity because I'm in a wheelchair though.
