Topic: Matt Damon: Palin rise is like a "really bad Disney movie | |

Considering she is what she is. She is not a wise choice at all. you're right !...she's just dragging down the ticket... Why shouldn't people want to know everything about her? The position she is seeking is a high one. Obama and McCain were investigated to death for two years. Why is it called fear when the same is done to her? |

That's how you know when you are choosing the right candidate. Vote the exact opposite of the Out of touch Hollywood elitist. Like Damons opinion holds some value with me. answering for him.... matt damon much like oprah winfrey....are not the common people of america. I have decided that the presidental candidates themselves are much like people of the entertainment industry...only their JOB affects US more. the people I talk to daily, there opinions matter more than any of the people I see talkin on TV. u do know about media control, right madman?????? ah, because the Washington elitists who run your country really have their finger on the pulse of the common man's life.... I guess you should reread what I said. instead of trying to ridicule me because I dont believe in the same things you do. just like liberals to be illiberate and read everything and who through dyslexic aplomb find left to be right. Ummm...she's not a liberal. winx, dear, take another look. i am laughing with catwoman , not at her. you have missed what she is laughing at too. hillaryus. Both of your posts are under Symbelmyne's post. Sorry that you posted incorrectly. |

Isnt matt damon an actor?? why is it funny to see an actor slam a woman that is running for VP??? cuz y'all get off on seeing women slammed?? has absolutely nothign to do with wether she is a woman or a man. Very simply put, Palin is a candidate for the vp chair, Amtt Damon, an actor, slammed her down with some very well placed facts and sattements. there is nothing here to do with discrimination, so lets try and keep such thoughts out of the debate, ok? |

Attacks on Palin merely serve to highlight the thin resume of Obama. Attacking the VP nominee is a losing strategy for the Democrats and they have been drawn into it like hogs to mud piddle. Obama is also like a bad Disney movie. That is why the Democrats now find themselves actually behind in the polls! Can you even believe it?! Against the backdrop of arguably the worst president the U.S. has ever seen? The DNC and Democratic voters everywhere have to wake up and ask themselves how could they possibly have nominated someone who McCain may very well beat in this election? It is incomprehensible. But they have made their bed and now will have to lie in it. No one to blame but themselves. It is quite possible even likely that McCain will end up carrying OH, PA, VA, FL and MI. Swing voters will look at Palin and Obama and not see much difference in terms of experience. But Obama is the presidential candidate and Palin is the vice presidential candidate. It is utterly ridiculous. Watch and see if there aren't McCain ads that come out which look exactly like the Damon interview except with the name Obama exchanged for Palin... It makes me want to laugh. |

I would hate to break it to Matt Damon, but George Washington had no political experience. Neither did John Adams. Eisenhower didn't either. Political experience, or lack thereof, doesn't disqualify one from holding Political office. As far as Matt's argument "I don't know anything about her. In two months, I won't know anything about her", I have to say this: Your lack of knowledge of a candidate in no way prohibits other's for voting for the candidate.
I would guess that a lot of political stories would read like Disney movies... Actor turned president - Ronald Reagan. Handicapped man who was helped and encouraged by his wife to become President of the United States - FDR Outdoors man and soldier who is an eye-witness to Bigfoot becomes president - Theodore Roosevelt Peanut farmer becomes president - Jimmy Carter Hockey Mom becomes vice president...The only thing that makes her stand out in this group is that she is a woman. |

I think she stands out because of her ideals about dinosaurs, book banning, and being far right and she's pretty. Also, McCain is older and that puts her in the spotlight more because it increases her chances of becoming President. It's not just because she's a woman. |

It's not just because she's a woman. http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/sarahpalin/a/bogus_quotes.htm The Dinosaur claims are bogus. Hoaxes. I got that on the first search I did, second item down. So being a conservative...does that disqualify one from being president? Only Liberals need apply? Oh, she's pretty. Yep, she shouldn't be president. Couldn't have an attractive president, that wouldn't be good for anybody. Wait, didn't someone say that Obama is handsome? Now he's disqualified to. Maybe Quasimoto will run...but I don't think he has any political experience either. Aren't there any hideous politicians who will run for President? Ronald Regan entered office at the same age as McCain and nobody was saying "We can't elect Regan, because he will die of old age and George Bush will be president!". It's sexism, pure and simple. Nobody would be saying this crap if it was a man on the ticket. |
