As I fish for likes and dislikes.

Whip-like smartass answers
Are all I receive
On my fishing verbal pike.

Ugh, annoying man,
Here’s the plan
That’s rolling through my mind.

That Eagle picture on your wall,
The one flying in your face -----

My ideal perfection
Is to create a confection;
A 3-D Eagle of cake!

Look of disbelief,
“Are you kidding me?
Do you realize the time
That’ll take?”

Of course, I do,
Oh silly you,
Just think,
how’d cool that’d be!

Your mouth says, no,
Yet around they go,
Your wheels of creativity………

A 3-D brownie winged Eagle,
All proud and most regal,
My mind’s eye clearly saw.Honey stop all this prattle,
An aluminum foil pattern,
I seriously need you to draw.

At the end of the day,
His head made from meringue,
An Eagle cake we did have.

Not quiet as envisioned,
Lying flat, not 3-D
In dimension…………..

But yes, there he was
looking up
from the table at me,

A huge headed eagle,
Kind’a proud,
but not regal.

You looked and you howled.
Calling it as you see it,
For you and me, the usual -

While choking on laughter,
Not quite what I was after,
“Babe, he looks like an
Eagle Totem Pole”!

The looks not so important, the taste is what counts and a big A for effort.

Ha, pk, nobody even likes meringue! His oven hates me. I should've made an owl because it truly was a Hoot from start to finish............
