Topic: Wii or PS3? | |

PS3 will play "Blue-Ray" Hi-Def movies, so if you have a HDTV, that will be an added bonus.

I was also confused about the Wii bugs post. Other than a freeze up every now and then I've never had a problem.

I really like the wii for the kids ... and for me. There's more for the family and for multi-player

Wii all the way!!
Having said that, I think the PS3 is the only console with HD abilities. Anyway, Wii. It's like a console and a personal gym rolled into one, great exercise! Try the boxing and tell me you disagree! I hear they've come down quite a bit in price now too.. ten pin bowling, golf, tennis, boxing, are all great fun on the Wii. |

Jesus, didn't realise who the OP was, didn't recognise the picture! For their age group Lisa I would recommend the Wii, much more family orientated and safer game titles.

depends on how long you want to keep it. Wii has more family appropriate games.. Ps3 is the true gamer's system with some family appropriate games. Right now it might be Wii..but in the long run it will be PS3

Before I would purchase a Wii.. I would find out if they've worked out all their bugs! Personally, I think I would purchase the PS3. Que? What bugs? I have no issues with the Wii, and Im a game developer =) To the original poster: It depends on the games you let them play. PS3 tends to lean more towards the M rated games (violent, graphic, etc). If you don't care what kind of games they're playing, asking them what their favorites are. Me personally, I would say if they already have an XB360, getting a PS3 is very redundant, as most of the same games come to each system and look similar. The Wii is drastically different, focusing on interactivity and movement, and most importantly - gameplay instead of High Def graphics. Seriously, Nintendo is the least buggy console developer ever. I have never heard of anyone having any bugs with the wii. I know plenty of people that have red ring of death (multiple times) and the horror stories of the old PS3 overheating so bad it just broke/melted/caught on fire. |
