So I sit on the stance
That I'm through with romance
And with straight face I lie
Through the feelings I hide
Do you see what I'm not?

I can run and play dumb

In some weird fantasy

Or this feeling of grandeur

Through blankets of haze
Wondering would, if he could
Want to kiss me for days
And oh, how I question if
My name's crossed his lips
In the breath of his slumber
Or a moment of bliss

As the truth has been glossed
Over and I unwittingly lost
My grip on the here and now
