Is it possible for him to speak to her on the phone, that might make him less home sick if she talks to him. :( I dunno if that is such a good idea either, the only time she calls us is when she is desperate for money cause her high is coming down. I think it might scare him. |

I think it might scare him. AJ, sounds like a little family counseling might be what you need. It's hard to say, not knowing the little one. Some kids do well with the full and honest truth and others, not so much. My thought, if it were my son, would be that I would tell him that mommy is really sick and in the hospital getting help. But, while she's in the hospital, she may not be able to have visitors. But, he can write her letters, send pictures, etc. and you'll take him to see her as soon as it's allowed. Many rehab places don't allow visitors or phone calls anyway. I would be honest to the level of his understanding. If he has other questions, he'll ask. This may or may not lessen the homesickness right at first but it will give him a better understanding of the situation. Chances are, he knows what the deal is anyway and trying to hide it from him probably wouldn't work. Kids have an uncanny way of knowing what's up. A counselor, even for only a couple of sessions, can help you wade your way through the minefield and also give him a safe place to express his own feelings and help make him feel much more secure in his world. Not easy, darlin, I know. If there's anything I can do, even if you just need to vent, let me know. Love you! |

8 hours of it even on the nasty meds's they have me On i think more or less i just passed out though But i will take that . It's still better than not sleeping at all
