Well, we do live in a shallow society, many people don't like it or want to admit it, but it's true. With that said, I'm sure you'd still get replies if you post in the forums, since it's just friendly chat, with no pressure or expectations. That's what I do. Most people hate rejection, but when you take a chance at approaching someone, that's a risk you're taking. Good luck and have fun.

I never got any attention on here until I had been here awhile and had posted a few thousand times, after which everyone became offended by my anti-everything stance and started e-mailing me incessantly.
OK, that's only partially true (the part about the stamp collection), but exposure seems critical to the whole process of establishing oneself here.... I personally gave up on e-mailing anyone first a long time ago. Never got any responses. Now I let them read all the nonsense I write and they can e-mail me. And they do. They're all 897,000 miles away but they do write to me....! |
