 ive always had a boss who couldnt or wouldnt do my job tell me how to do it better | |

      My roommate (a photographer) tried to tell me (a web designer) I needed to do MySpace profiles. I think designing MySpace profiles is an insult to the art. But he insisted that I wouldn't make any money unless I did MySpace profiles...wtf.

      Get technical and ask them questions. 
 OR Slow things way down and treat them like they are idiots. I did that on the phone troubleshooting. Me: "Now there should be a button on the CD drive. Do you see it?" "Yes." Me: "Press the button and a tray will open up. Now let me know after you are done. Hang on, I'll be right back." *5 min. later.* "Let me talk to your manager!" Me: "Not a problem let me transfer you over." <CLICK> Me: "Hello? Oh darn I lost them." | |

      I get that all of the time, I work in Aquatics.  Everyone thinks they know how to run a pool, but there is so much stuff that people never see.    | |
