believe that marriage is the way to go?
Truthfully I did and have been married....it blows! Why does a piece of paper and a ring suddenly change things? I still believe in marriage & when the right lady comes along i plan to have her become Mrs. Blueskyj.....there is something special about introducing my lady as my wife, not the same to say, "hi, this is D, my girlfriend".....when i get old & decrepid I want to have somebody who loves me & will be there for me & I want to be there for her.... |

There is a big difference between a wedding and a marriage.......I found that out.
My wedding was beautiful.......everything was wonderful.......the marriage...NOT great!! But I wouldnt blame a piece of paper or a ring or the govt on that.... although I think George Bush had some sort of conspiracy thing going on it!! |

I've been married twice, and even though neither of my marriages worked out, I still believe in marriage. All of my friends have been happily married, for the most part, for 30+ years, so I know it can work. Maybe I should have had them pick out my husband ? I'd never rule out marriage, but a good friend to do things with would be just fine!

I am not currently married, but I have been. My thoughts are that marriage isn't for everyone. It's a commitment between two people who have to work together to make it work. It's a 50/50 relationship, not 20/80, or 110/0. Your partner should be your best friend.
