i used to have a jeep too...
... it was an '87 Cherokee with inline 4.0 liter engine. it was evidently one of the last of the AMC-built jeeps before Chrysler Corporation bought them out some time later, as can be seen in the shoddy construction of the damned thing. it'd want to break down at a moment's notice if you'd let it. the "Remex" ignition system it had in it was the worst though- it would shut the car off at random intervals and would refuse to start back up unless IT felt necessary. even worse was the fact other manufacturers used the same technology for their cars as well, as a great many cars of the era went through the same problems. thank goodness i got rid of that piece o' crap and got me a FORD instead. ![]() |
