Take a moment today to wish the best for those in the path of Gustav. Forget about the Bar-B-Q and back to school. Forget about the election. Push your own wants and needs aside for a moment and say a prayer or just some positive energy in their direction.

thanks. i had three friends die in the last one, needlessly, and all my friends are evacuated, including me this time, and now is just thoughts of how long it's gonna take to rebuild...and get on. last time, most went under first. there was still a tent city of at least 2,000 under I-10. i hope they're gone and out, before now.

Sorry, darkowl. My prayers are with everyone affected by the hurricane, and I pray this one won't be as destructive.

I have been keeping them in my thoughts and prayers. I have never been through any disaster like that, well just an earthquake, but didn't suffer any damage.

I can't imagine losing everything and starting all over again. Pam (Snuggles) is in Florida and we talk frequently and she was really scared with the last one. Looks like this storm isn't headed her way, but I will keep praying for all the people in its path. Wish I could do more.
