Topic: A Phone Call From My Stepfather | |
---|---|
So awhile ago I bought a train ticket to go up and see my parents. Just to have my stepfather tell me the day was no good. So here I sat with a usless piece of paper that held a value of $96. Was rather upset but got over and made other plans. Until I received a phone call from my stepfather. Here is how it went:
Me: Hello Him: Hi Me: What can I do for you? (still bitter a bit) Him: Do you still have your train ticket? Me: Yes I still have the useless thing. Him: Why so rude? Me: Would you not be a bit bitter if you found out you wasted money like that? Him: I guess I understand, but you really did not give us much of a chance here Me: There is no sense brining up an old argument, not going to get us anywere. Him: Well do you want to know why I am calling? Me: Would be nice Him: What are you doing tomorrow? Me: Going to the beach Him: Would you like to go to the beach out here? Me: A little far to travel just to go to the beach alone, don't you think? Him: I am trying to tell you that we want to see you. Me: Thought you had plans? Him: Do you want to come up or not? Not going to sit here and argue with you. Me: Of course I want to come up, it was the whole reason I bought the ticket. Him: What time does the train come in? Me: 12:55pm Him: OK, see you then. GRRRRRRRR parents I tell you. So I guess now I have to re plan for my day trip. Oh well at least I am now not wasting money right? ![]() |

At least yours calls. ![]() ![]() It seems that he is not "too proud of a man to admit when he is wrong", rather, not big enough of a man to admit he was wrong. |

I think he already admitted he was wrong..by calling you back. Go, have fun and put all the anomosity behind..they won't be around forever..make the best of the times that you do spend together.
