Was on IM with a guy last night, total stranger, after 5 minutes he told me "he wouldn't lie to me, wouldn't cheat, would treat me like a princess and queen," asked me to be his girlfriend and wanted to know when I would come see him in Canada. Say what??

Then the 19 y/o earlier this week wanting a relationship. Is there some cosmic thing going on, some strange alignment of the planets??

I don't understand his reasoning, the age difference is ridiculous, I am older than his parents even. Oh well, who knows.

add that to the dudes prolly lonely. willing to go way outta his way... that means he thinks he can get some. but its overwhelming in his head so he confuses passion for commitment and prolly thinks thats what you need to here anyway so...

Dredz - pretty much my take on it. He lives 30 miles away, so is close too. But he doesn't understand my "hang-up" on the age thing, and I don't understand his wanting a woman older than his parents. He says he wants long term committed relationship. I hit him with all kinds of reality in the last couple of days, but he has been quiet today, so maybe ticked him off. I just don't understand that kind of age difference, he should be chasing girls his own age.

girls his age are girls. they are trying to dance in night clubs and date the hot guy. sounds like that isnt this guys speed. he wants to come home at night and not have to chase.

but your right the age thing is an issue. it may not be a big deal to him now and if you got over it, it would be ok for a while. so if you wanna date him for a bit and get you cougar on it could be fun for both of you.
