Ummmm,how much do I have to pay you to take him off my hands???

He is driving me freaking nuts. I raised my daughter, am helping raise my grandbabies as much as I can, now I am raising him too. Enough is enough, I want out.

The more I think about it, living in my car really doesn't sound that bad and we have lots of beach around here.

It is not what they (parents) do wrong, but what they do right that matters most.

Maybe you could get a parent sitter??????? Only partially joking. Get him in involved in activities outside of the house like volunteer work or social activities.

Actually, he is in a nursing home, had too many medical needs for me to take care of at home anymore. He gets great care there, but the doctor stopped his Zoloft and he got mean, with the staff, with me, everyone. I called the doctor and they restarted it, but wow, he is just nasty.

He refuses to participate in anything there.

He has an electric wheelchair and can come and go as he pleases, goes to the store, McDonald's, restaurants, he is the only one with a pass, but this past couple of weeks, he has been a bear to be around.

Please make the Zoloft work fast.

I feel for you Marie. I saw my grandmother go through that, then in to full alzheimers. I have a feeling my mother is headed that way down the road too.

Actually, Audie I was the one of the 3 kids who didn't give them trouble, tried to stay under the radar, started babysitting to pay my own way as much as possible at 10. My brothers did give them grief though.

Tnxg - thanks. It is not fun. His short term memory is getting bad. He resents me for not letting him drive a car anymore, so on. His sister had Alzheimer's so I keep wondering about that also, he is 81 now.

I feel for you!! I was working full time, had 2 kids, the house, chores, cooking, AND MOM!!!!! In hindsight, I erally did have it easy compared to a lot of people having to take care of a parent.

I vent to my mother about my grandma all the time. Just the other day she and I got into one of our stupid fights and I try to be the bigger person but as yiu know I'm sure that can be hard. Anyway my parents came over and she was a total b*tch to my dad (her son). That made me feel a bit better cuz it wasn't just me. I cry all the time cuz if her. But I still love her to death.

This has got to be very hard for you. When my mom had her stroke she drove me insane. She took her frustrations of not being able to remember simple everyday items, like what a pen was or how to turn on the tv, out on us kids. I don't think it is their intentions but it can surly drive a person crazy. Good luck to you!
