I've had conversations about and have heard conversations about what the heck is going on with all these new pop ups, as well as my computer acting just plain weird sometimes and only when I'm on this site it seems.

In addition to these aggravating pop ups that hopefully are blocked now. My virus/spyware stuff is giving me a notice that

Mingle2.com is downloading code segments from ZEDO.com website. this website may contain adware,spyware,viruses, popup flood, Spam

Zedo.com

had another that I didn't write down about mingle downloading codecs for some reason for another website

the most annoying pop ups are the free (but not really) wal mart gift card, something from circuit city and another I can't recall at the moment.

So, anyone having this happen, can any one shed some light on any of it

have you tried deleting history and cookies then running your sypwear to kill everything?

It's creepy is what it is. It's like when we discuss something on here, I get ads somehow related to the topic. And, the system must think I'm a lesbian who is into BBW's, too. And, they must be spying as I get ads for jewelrytv. Talk about Big Brother!! Glad I'm not into porn. Oh, no!!! I typed porn!!! Now what will come up!?!?
Was there some kind of "opt out" I missed on here? I don't like the thought of arbitrary advertisers trying to read my mind or words, or think it's okay to have my personal info to THAT degree, phone numbers and such!!

I realize it's a free site and they probably sell all our info, it still sucks though

so all that malarkey we were given about our info not being given out to third parties (this according to the mods here) was totally bogus, then. it would explain all the scammers sending me scam IMs and emails and stuff.

when something works just fine we have IT geeks and marketing majors that just have to get their little kudos by tweaking and improving things,

really not much we can do I guess. They like to say, oh clear this and that, it still wasn't happening on the other site or this one at first

not only that, but the mods themselves said what they did about not giving away information, and getting word from THEM about anything is considered first-hand info, as far as i'm concerned.

if your like me, it is only happening on this site too, thats why i think it sucks, I can log off and go to any other site and do not have the same problems. hopefully they will get their heads out of their fourth point of contact and work it out
