I know I have not created you
But someday I will, you see And you will mean the world to me. I will hold each one of you So tight you can not breathe And tell the world of my joy And how lucky I must be. You are all my pride and joy My most beautiful masterpiece. I could never forget the first time You smiled at me. I can’t wait to send you to school And watch you grow and learn To hear of how you lost your tooth And had so much fun at Prom. I will cry the day we send you To some school miles away And will be there on the day We give you away. Then it will be your turn To create a family of your own To hold your children with love and care And sing them to sleep with my lullabies With which I sang to you For so long. You then will realize what You all mean to me. All my love that I have shown I have passed it on to you. And when I am no longer here To hold you as before My love will rain from heaven And will be knocking at your hearts door. Krystle McGee |
