I think it would be nice to meet someone, but you can see how well that's working for me. I'm certainly not counting on it, but I'm not ruling anything out either.

In my experience (not just here, but on dating sites in general), you either have to be extremely lucky or extremely mainstream to have any chance of finding someone truly compatible. "Outside-the-box" does not play well in these venues.

I have given up on the idea of meeting anyone from a website, and I now understand that real life is the only thing that is going to hold any potential for me....

Ok, After reading that 3 times I think I understand.
The thing I like best about this medium is the ability to see how someone responds to the questions people ask. Are they thoughtful, reasonably intelligent, & polite to others? Do they have similar interests & lifestyles? Who do they interact with? After being here a while, you can tell alot about someone just by seeing thier "friends" list. I like being able to see how they handle themselves in different situations here, it's a screening process for me. I am meeting a lot of nice people, but I guess I am not what they are looking for.

I am coming to the conclusion that many people are here just to have "friends" to hang out with, a place to vent thier daily frustrations, or "cyber" away other types of frustrations. I think these are all valid reasons to be here, I like hanging out & chatting too, but I was hoping to meet someone who wants to move it offline & make a real connection.

I really wish it was a little more active and people seemed to actually want to meet people. It seems so dead and seems like no one ever wants to meet anyone. Sure, talking online here is great and all, but I wanna actually meet someone and do something offline too. I know, crazy idea!

I have been posting here for the last couple of months, and over the last few weeks, my profile has been viewed a LOT.

Still haven't found anyone, but as I said before, if it happens, it happens.
