Well as a courtesy to Ruth I will refuse to begin any debates here along those lines. This thread has been one of refuge, at least as far as many are concerned here.

Tis the witching hour of night,
Or bed is the moon and bright, And the stars they glisten, glisten, Seeming with bright eyes to listen For what listen they? John Keats (1795 - 1821) |

So if you care to find me
Look to the western sky As someone told me lately - Ev'ryone deserves the chance to fly And if I'm flying solo At least I'm flying free To those who'd ground me Take a message back from me - Tell them how I Am defying gravity! I'm flying high Defying gravity! And soon I'll match them in renown And nobody in all of Oz No wizard that there is or was Is ever gonna bring me down! From "Wicked" - no reason in particular, I just really love the lyrics to this song. |

What is Paganism?
"Any of various religions other than Christianity or Judaism or Islamism" "Paganism is a religion of nature, in other words Pagans revere Nature. Pagans see the divine as immanent in the whole of life and the universe "Paganism is a spiritual way of life which has its roots in the ancient nature religions of the world. It is principally rooted in the old religions of Europe, though some adherents also find great worth in the indigenous beliefs of other countries. Such belief in the sacredness of all things can be found world-wide. Pagans see this as their heritage, and retain the beliefs and values of their ancestors in forms adapted to suit modern life. We celebrate the sanctity of Nature, revering the Divine in all things; the vast, unknowable spirit that runs through the universe, both seen and unseen." |

Then as a first people - native american, i must be pagan? i think no one holds to nature more than the first people. correct me if i'm wrong?
I wnder also you say anyone but the mnotheistic religions - but even they concider each other as pagans/infedels/heathens, etc.. so their must be more to being a "pagan" than just not being part of monotheism? |
|
|
|
Yes, native American spirituality is considered pagan. Pagans, heathens and infidels are all different. Christians don't refer to Muslims as Pagans because they are monotheistic. You can google the different terms for more info.
