I just started on here today (3-19-07) and I really do not know what to
expect. I have read ALOT of the different things people have posted and
frankly, I am even more weirded out to try this. There are a whole lot
of people on here that seem to complain about every little detail. Yes,
I am here to try to meet someone special. Yes, I would love for a long
lasting, deep, romantic relationship to come out of this. But, just from
reading a couple hundred of these posts, everyone either seems to be
with someone or so bitter that they are not with someone, no one else
has a chance! When the love of my life and I split up I waited for 3
years. She never once indicated that there might be a chance for us
again, but I waited. She had another boyfriend, but I waited. She has
had 2 girlfriends, but I waited. I am not a man of infinite patience but
I have a lot. Finally I gave up, sulked around, felt sorry for myself
and cried a lot. I have finally decided to stop waiting, so here I am!

You're right. We're all bitter. We hate ourselves and each other, But no
one else will listen.

Jack, welcome to the site! Best thing to do is take a look at the
forums and find a topic that interests you, and jump right in. Posting
is the best way to get noticed here, believe me. There are all kinds of
good people on the site -- yes, some complainers and miscellaneous
dimbulbs, but they are a distinct minority. I've tried 43,808 different
sites and this is the best one.

Hello everyone. I started here a few days ago and have to say, that out
