I wrote a beautifull poem

about the man I love

but I ain't gonna show him

until I consult the one above.



It was full of pretty verses

that would surely make his heart sing

I had it memorized and even rehearsed it

but he can't see it till I get a ring.



I don't know him yet

haven't even seen him

but we will know it I bet

chemistry will flow through every limb.



So I am not ready

but I have my poem

He's the kinda guy that will go steady

but I ain't gonna show him.



I'll keep my pen moving

my heart dreaming

my body grooving

my mind screaming...



The one above will bring him to me

so on with life I will go

to be the best I can be

when we are ready we will know

then he can have my poem

and the best parts of me!!
