I have teens... If I am seeing someone for more then a few dates they will make a point of being butts. I try and keep it seperate for a long while but that is not always possible. I love my kids and it is a must to put them first but when do you know if they are truly being selfish or they see something I dont in a person?

My youngest is 12 so I have a few years left

It's natural for children to feel jealous toward you spending your time with a man, especially if it's not their father... try to put yourself in their shoes.

Just ask you kids after he leaves what they think of him, they will be honest with you.

PLK is right... ask them after they meet what they think of them and why they think what they think... as you children don't hold back... and ask them in a way that allows them to feel comfortable with letting it all out with out being in trouble for their opinions...

Plus maybe when all of you do hang out make sure to always have the kids in the front lines.. to let them know that even that this guy is going to be showing up around here and there.. that they are still number one priority... which I am sure you already know! He he he!

Well...Kids are always selfish in that area...but remember, paybacks are hell and they'll be dating soon!
