my "eat a bullet" post a coupla days ago, I'd like to say I'm not crazy or suicidal. I was on a newly prescribed opioid for pain (recent leg injury) and think (hope) it was just a side-effect of that. I see my doctor again tomorrow @ 8:00 to change it.

Anyway, thanks for the concern shown by so many here who saw that. Also, thanks for the moderators who handled it with concern.

On the plus side, we should be reminded that sometimes it's not all fun and games all the time and, on a site dedicated primarily to affairs of the heart, that some are much more fragile than others.

I'm reminded 'cause last year I was the one who inadvertently hurt a young fellow's feeling on here terribly just showing off my witty intelligence. I just got carried away.

Anyway, thanks again.

I understand what you are going through. Some of the meds I have taken over the years have had bad emotional side effects as well. And, thanks for the reminder that we should all try hard to be nice to each other. Sometimes we are all someone may have at that moment. flowerforyou  flowerforyou

The pain killers from that family of meds do not work for me. I kept calling the doctor about the pain. (broke an ankle a few years ago, it felt as bad as the day I broke it for many many months) I think he thought I wanted more pain killers. I didn't. I flushed most the stuff he gave me down the toilet. It DIDN'T work. I wanted him to find out why it continued to hurt at that level for that long.

There are other family groups of pain meds. If it is a side effect, you might want to ask if there is something else they can give you.
