I was shopping online this morning. Looking for something more portable yet compatible with my PC laptop. Looking at something call ASUS EEE computers and Pocket PC. I basically want to be able to keep my calendar, make notes, email, that kind of stuff. What should I get?

My friend just had one, a verizon pocket pc it was so BIG, and the battery didn't last more then a couple hours he sold it yesterday on ebay for 33.00$

pocket pc's r supposed to be small. I was looking at some of the small laptop 7" and they don't seem to do much. I also read they get HOT. That's why I thought a pocket PC might do the job. They're also much less expensive than the tablet PCs.
