Get yourself a nice female friend and try asking her out. Maybe she can give you tips on what you're doing wrong. Or maybe you're just asking out super b*tchy girls and need to pick a better type. Most women don't laugh at a guy just because he asks them out. I mean maybe a giggle if they're embarassed or caught off guard, but straight out laughing is just plain rude and doesn't always happen.

I agree with the guys that said not to question yourself so much. Confidence is what a lot of the jerks have... and that makes them more attractive to women. You also do need to make your life complete without a woman first, before you can have one compliment your life happily.

This advice is for anyone male or female.

Go get your hair styled....you don't have much hair. But stay well groomed where ever you go. You never know where that person is going to be.
Go get new clothes head to feet. All of it. Put it on and go out. Do you feel different? I bet you will.
Put a lot into how you look. Get some products for your body, face, whatever you may need. Take an appraisal and start at the top working your way down. Do not settle for "eh, it's ok." You want, "that looks really good. I can't do any better than that."
Start working out and/or walking every day.
After you put a lot of effort into your appearance your attitude changes. You don't want egotistical but you do want a strong self-confidence. Why should a woman believe in you if you don't believe in yourself?

Other things are working on the way you interact with others. I bought a book "Say Goodbye to Shy", it was a good read. I bought some books on body language. Do you know how to look less threatening to others? Show them there isn't anything in your hands. Do you know how to stand like you are confident and inviting rather than defensive? Do you know what someone does if they are attracted to you?
I even bought a book on how to pick up girls(stupid book). The point is I tried to do whatever I could think of to make it happen.

The hurdle for me is to somehow find a way to appreciate perfumes. Without a sense of smell, I rely heavily on taste. Different perfumes and other body ointments taste well, or not...but it seems weird for me to need to taste a lady in order to compliment her choice. You see?

Was thrown from a vehicle, in a wreck, and lost a lot. Taste, smell, many memories...but the taste eventually grew/returned by about 60%.
Smell is so precious...have had a few instances of smelling fresh mown hay, and a few things, but rarely.

So...life goes on, and I know that I appreciate help/advice/opinions in many facets. In a way, it is building trust in common decency and goodwill from strangers. I like it.
