Topic: Remorse... | |
---|---|
I too have remorse for all living things. I eat meat also though. I catch bugs in the house and set them free outside because my remorse gets to me. It just shows the respect for life, all life. I justify my eating meat with the natural order of life. Some animals become food for others. yep even were food to others at times, idont think they put any thought into it per se' when the tables are turned - it is just a fact of life. Yes, it is the natural order of life. We can be food for others also. Actually, even in death we are food for the little critters if we are buried. I hate to watch the hunt on the nature shows though, I feel for the hunted still..lol |

it seems the affintity to dislike death show common proof beings came from a place of no death, and each perception held of what is good and bad of death come from perception gained while mortal, shaped by the evironment one lives in, all that has been seen and registered thru sight by the mind.....
a being raised where there is not much food would certainally have a different perspective, lol..... if there was not death on this planet truly the eco system would have collapsed, making even for horor movies to come true of mice and roaches and insects and even wild beast overwelming cities, lol......... guilt seems to come when having to while mortal violate the heart over any action committed that one would not have committed in a perfect setting or envoironment...... remorse seems to be seeing what one has done in any situation, creating a recognized and undisputable truth of belief in the heart, that never allow to ever be repeated....... if all life is to conatin good and bad for compariosn for all to see the difference, for each one to learn their own heart, then what one heart be the guide for the next, lol......... believing guilt be an indicator of right and wrong seems to be a perception that allows guilt to be used as a tool of teaching witin society, that can clearly be seen from history as not effective, lol...... guilt seems only to indicate more data is needed, and this data come from the brain itself if guilt is admitted, lol....... perception that guilt is bad has to be the worst thing mankind has adpated as whole truth, never allowing more truth to come into the mind, where all things ever spoken and read came from, lol......... remorse seems to be the knowledge of the whole truth creating GOOD selfish reason not to repeat any action, not the bad reason not to repeat, as this set up a thinking of repetitiveness of actions not most beneficial, lol....... does any really know what they might be capable of in a different environemnt, lol...... |

Fascinating!!! Just imagine what Freud would have had to say about this thread?!?!?! Some repressed sexual fantasm for sure! :) I am not up on Freud so if it pleases you would you explain the sexual fantasm here? I have read a little way back but don't recall. Yes Abra Spiders also. I have even been that way with ants. I try to deter their path into the house so they will not come in, with pepper in the pathways and stuff like that lol HUM!!! let's see!!! This was meant as a 'wink'! But the simple answer would be that if one had to sum up Freud in a sentence, which would be ludicrous, it might be go something like this: '... take every human experience, from cradle to grave, and apply it directly to the unconscious and therefore irresponsible, repressed reptilian sex drive machine...' Accusations of oversimplification please abstain! |

Before that, it had all occured in the seas. |

Man, that reminds me of when my dad had mice
We set a standard spring trap, and later we heard it snap. the damn mouse was still alive, and trying to run around, despite the trap being firmly closed around it. It's little back must have been broken. Two whacks from the hammer it needed. Damn super-mouse or something. I did feel sorry for the guy |

I have no mercy on flies and roaches or roach-like bugs. I will spare a cricket, a spider, a lady bug, a praying mantis, snakes, and most other interesting creatures as long as they don't take to crawling across my bed and invading my home too much.
In my art studio one day a spider ran across the room. A guest went after it to step on it. I yelled, "Don't!" She looked surprized and asked why? I said, "You could upset the entire echo system in this place. That spider keeps down the flea and fly population and who knows what else." You never know what is going on in the echo system. One year I had massive amounts of roaches and the next year they were almost gone, but I found silver fish everywhere. I wonder if that had anything to do with the roach population being down. We just don't know. To kill ants without poison: Put corn meal down over their ant hills. They take it into their holes and eat it and soon the ants are gone. It must explode inside of them or something. JB |

One day my sister was at my house and she noticed sugar ants were in my sugar container because I had left the lid off.
She asked me if she should throw the sugar out. I said No!! Just leave the lid off. They all go home at night. They don't take too much with them. Sure enough, they all went home. Then I put the lid back on the sugar. I put roach powder (dusted it) along the threshold where they were coming in and I did not see an ant for six months after that. I thought it was the poison that did it, but it could be the powder itself if you say that chalk works just as well. Interesting. I think the powder gets on their little legs and they can't communicate with their tastes and smells by touching each other any more. JB |

Perhaps the yellow was stickier and stuck to their legs more. Who knows.
I have this huge red ant hill in my yard that I am going to put corn meal on and record the results with my digital camera and make a web page showing the results. I have only used corn meal on one small ant hill and within a week or two it was gone. But that was a small ant hill. This one is massive and has been in operation for years. It will be interesting to see what happens. I will post a link to the pictures for anyone interested in the experiment of using corn meal to get rid of ants. I'll probably feel remorse about it, but oh well. They will be going to ant heaven. Pray for them. JB |

Dont they send out those "scouts" that go check it out and find food and then they come back? Ants are pretty complicated but each one has a specific role. If they were as large as men, they would be able to pick us up and throw us with those jaws of theirs.

I hate to disagree, but I can kill any animal anywhere and feel absolutely no remorse. I think it's because we had livestock on the farm when we were kids. Wake up, take hay to the cows, feed the chickens, check for eggs (get pecked, and possibly find a snake), day in day out 24/7/365. I grew to hate the animals, enjoyed loading them in the truck to take them to the butcher shop. And was never so happy as the day Dad said "I'm done with these things." Of course he was only refering to the chickens, those cows stayed another 7 years.
I hunt deer, pheasant, quail, turkeys, and I'll even fish. Oh, I use it all. If I'm not going to eat it, I don't hunt it. Fish, half the time I put them back, still alive and kicking. But the simple rule is, animals do not belong in the house. That's one of the reasons we strove to find shelter in the first place. I didn't invite them, so they are just trepassers, armed with who knows what kind of infectious viral agent. Does that make them a weapon of mass destruction? If they are spreading disease, does that make a mouse a terrorist? JB, you're helping combat terrorism every time you kill a mouse. You deserve a medal, talk to your local authorities, you might even get a statue in the park. |
