My satellite was disconnected because I can no longer pay for it. At least until I get another job that pays better. So...anyway...my sisters husband got one of those digital tv boxes that are advertised to get before february o9. You know the ones that they send you 40 dollar coupons for? Two to be exact...good for 80 dollars off the box that cost 50 dollars at walmart right now...so it cost 10 dollars for the box....right now.
Well, we hooked it up took everything else out and OH MY GOSH!!! You would not believe how good the pic is! It is as good or better than satellite or cable and no black outs just a few pixels at times...no big deal (that happens with pay tv)and you just have to move the antenna a bit and upgrade or search to get more channels. It is so easy! I started out with 9 channels then 16 then 19 now I have 24 channels and all I have to do is keep searching after adjusting the antenna a tiny bit. This little thing has made me so happy. I will not be subscribing to cable or satellite again. No need in it. This is just too good! That is 50 dollars a month I will not need to spend. This is fabulous!
I was told this will be getting harder to get as time goes by. They are alloting only so many to be given out.
Folks....this is sweet as candy. When people find out how good this is....bye bye pay tv.

I'm shocked. I mean I would have never thought that this was this good of a deal. I wish I had known this before I would have got one waaaaay earlier. I am sitting here watching tv so clear...so clean....it is amazing. It's almost like I have digital myself. Oh wait...maybe I do?

Yeah. When you get a decent signal, DTV works like gangbusters.

Unfortunately, I get crappy reception out here in the outer fringes of the San Fernando Valley, so I'm screwed no matter what I do. I've tried getting all sorts of funky antennas and signal boosters but nothing has worked in the least.

And I'm not gonna spend money on cable TV because most of its a waste of money (and I don't watch TV that much anyway).

Yeah, but they say after feb 09tv antennas will not work anymore. Got to have the box. I was like...I don't need a box cause I have satelite....damn! If I only knew........I could have saved a lot of money guys. A lot of money.

ive checked it all out, all that is needed is to install the box and hook the antenna to it then to the tv

if it is an hdtv you shouldn't even need the box

Yeah...my tv is not hdtv...it is now! I have the clearest pic I have seen yet in it. It used to give a greenish cast to the color. It is GONE NOW. It is so clear...so easy to set up. Folks.....this is a money saver. The trees in the pic appear to be in real perspective. I keep looking over at it and am still in awe. Losing my pay tv is the best thing that has happened to me lately. I was so upset...now....so glad it happened.
