One easy word Money. $$$$$$$$$$$. That's it. Them sorry s.o.b.'s. I get them from woman too, but only differences is I get them in my email box. I'd just stop and hit that good old deleted botton, after reading it and thinking more about it. Some times I reply back and talk but some times I just hit deleted and other times I hear something in return and the other half I hear noting at all. |

I mean I'm not stupid, I know it's a scam, but I'm curious if anyone got further into it with someone like that. I'd like to know their angle....next time I'm gonna keep going until I get the bottom line!!

The second they ask for or offer a yahoo email, run!
They're all after bank account information to commit fraud. |

I'd like to know their angle....next time I'm gonna keep going until I get the bottom line!! I did this once just out of being bored and noting else to do and I was on a different dating site called singlenet.com and two or more woman emailed me and they had really great photos probably fake any how, got to talk and before I knew it they wanted me to send them money so they could come see me and go off and get married etc. After I have told them I couldn't help them it was off with them singing the blues and how mad they are with me refusing to help them. Funny thing about people dieing too, and some how I am getting the person money.. I've gotten those emails from there lawyers and repsond like this is a mistake they just kept talking and talking and before I knew it.. they where telling me the money had been send to me and that's the last I have heard of them lol. I did not give them no bank infor either but it was just funny. |

I was getting these IMs from various scammers (the latest went by the screen-name "love_is_wicked123"... gee... is that a bad omen or what) who went on to say that they got my IM/email info from mingle2. Of course, when I'd tell them that mingle2 doesn't give out members' personal info (or so the Mods say), they'd give me the "oh no... I definitely got your info from mingle2".
Of course, the scammers would be from somewhere in Africa (Kenya on more than one occasion), and the topic of needing money would come up. That's when I'd hit the "spam" button and bannish them to internet hell. So I changed my email addy, and (wouldn't you know it) the scammings lessened quite significantly. If I DO get a scam IM, I'll do my best to mess with the crook using whatever means I have at my disposal. |
