Topic: imc.exe-is this a virus? | |
---|---|
i cannot get online with my pc. i am on laptop right now. i tried to upload teh xp service pack 3 and was denied access.
when it removes itself, little black windows come up-two of them- which also say access denied. one window says sytem 32 cmd the other says imc.exe on search, i find it may be malicious malware and i find it is ok to leave. of course, removal requires download, and money, but as i cannot get the pc online, i cannot download anything to it. unless it will download to a file on the laptop and i can burn a disc to put into pc. any help appreciated. i have been in internet withdrawal. poor verizon company peoples, i chewed a couple of them the other night cause there was no one there to help. lol. hugggggsssssss seena |

Do you have your own spy sweeper or microvirus run that. You have to watch what thier trying to sell you may be bad.
Plus they will want a credit card # And they called you. |

I don't use messenger either cause I seen a thing on tv where someone can get right in your computor and access everything. after you did that did you shut it off and start it again.

According to the link above, imc.exe is the executable file to a program called "FriendFinder", which is essentially malware (or ransomware, as it'll hold your computer ransom until you pay to get rid of it). There are ways to get rid of it, though. However, you'll probably need to contact a computer whiz to do any of that, though. Or you might just go for the "nuclear option" and just reformat your computer, as that's sure to get rid of it. |

Shouldn't be difficult to remove. |
