What are your favorite salad recipes?
My favorite salad starts with a head of Romaine lettuce chopped(yes, the whole thing:P). Then I add really spicy salsa and mix the two. I then add pieces of pita or whole wheat bread to mild the salad down just a tad. Then I finish it off with a half a cup of garbanzo beans:). Viola! The perfect lunch:D. |

I've never had watercress, beetroot, or smoked mackrel before. Do they have a bitter taste?

I've never had watercress, beetroot, or smoked mackrel before. Do they have a bitter taste? Watercress has a slightly peppery taste similar to rocket leaves. It's rich in iron, calcium and folic acid. It works really well with the beetroot which is quite sweet and the mackrel which is a bit salty and full of omega 3. Those ingredients together are likely to give your palate an orgasm...lol. Proof that every healthy doesn't need to be bitter. |
