Anyone else goin to the Mayhem fest this sunday? Im so stolked to see Slipknot again,plus opening for them are home town boys Disturbed.Its gonna be great

how are those concerts? i never been to one of them. do they have a bunch of freaking people there or just regular people

Mayhem was the Best metal concert Ive ever been to!! during the day there was two side stages side by side, when a band ends on one another band started on the other. the whole time there was moto-X guys freestyle riding on the side of the stages.

then around 7pm the main stage opend up (with the low point of the show "dragonforce" some lame guitar hero band)But when Disturbed hit the stage it was on again the place started goin nuts every one with there fist in the air! due to so many fights they stoped serving beer around 8:30 that sucked!

and best of all it ends with my fav band Slipknot, even more hardcore then I remember, the stands were packed,mosh pits everywhere,sod wars. security just gave up and ran for cover.
It was great everthing youd expect from a festival called MAYHEM.

Dammit! Disturbed and Slipknot are gonna be in Illinois and I'm all the way in So. Illinois...

there are all types of people at these kind of fests I seen other skaters, and goths, preps, emos, posers, metal heads, old people and even lil kids.

maybe thats why so many fights broke out.

Lame.. I thought this thread was actually about the BAND MAYHEM not some ****ty nu-metal fest..

Personally don't care for Slipknot, but Disturbed I've seen 4 times and they always put on a hell of a show...though Draiman dances funny.

HOLY CRAP !!!!! that was awesome Could u imagine these people at a REAL metal show. Problee **** themselves within the first five minutes LMAO !!!!! SLIPKNOT IS BROTALLLL !!!!!

I went to the Mayhem festival last year. I have to say, the main stage performance was really good (Distubed, Dragon Force, Slipknot, and Mastodon) but we were all worn out by that late in the day. We went and ended up seeing as much of the show as we could and we felt like we were baking. A lot of the crappier parts were things you can expect from any kind of outdoor event, but no matter how good the main stage may have been we all decided that "No more Festivals" was a new policy. Go enjoy Mayhem for me, and if you can sneak some water bottles in for yourself or you're gonna be paying like $8 per.

How was it?

mastodon and dragon force are the only two bands in that line up worth seeing...
to each his own though, I s'pose...
