It happened before I had time to blink.
Or even a second to think.
Into my world you did come.
And before long I did succumb.

It happened so fast.
Not wondering if it will last.
No time to worry.
It all went by in a flurry.

Not thinking what if.
You come to the edge of the cliff.
Just go with the flow.
And see what is below.

One never will know.
Till you learn to let go.
Don’t hold back.
Just run along the track.

At times you may fall.
And have to learn to crawl.
Soon you will get up and walk.
At times we all take a hard knock.

But one will never know.
Not until they learn to let go.
So let the wind blow your hair.
Learn to love and care.

And what it’s like to share.
Love is something you cannot compare.
Don’t try to pick it apart.
Learn to give with your whole heart.
