Topic: Random Friend Requests and What about it | |
---|---|
The whole "friend" thing is just plain odd. i dont see its purpose, its
not a convient "buddy list quick reference thing". Its some sort of status-thing. And clearly, from the tone of the ladies comments, ppl are just abusing it. Equally so, some ppl are mis-understanding the intentions of anonymous friend linkages. Ladies, if you get all sorts of odd "friend requests" from ppl you never chatted with, you can safely assume that person is probably trying to chat with you. Perhaps they think that in-order to chat, or send email that you would have to be on the "Friend List". Some sites work that way. And Guys, shotgunning your "friend request" to any and all ladies is just not a good impression. Give it a rest. |

It would be nice if JSH had some sort of link to your friends list.
Like, anytime a "friend" on your list is on-line their picture on your site show it. Or if they post to the community, it lists their last post, so you don't miss what's goin on with them. I don't know how or if that could be done, but it would be a good reason to have a "friends" list. Any Web masters know if this is somethink JSH could do? |

The friends list is o.k., Some of the ppl I talk to aren't on the forums
and it's just easier to find them. |

Mike, it's a "virtual" friend . . . an online relationship. Sometimes
relationships are one way. Hey, it doesn't bother me at all if someone puts me on their friends or favorites list. It does not hinder my relationships here. Why does that bother you so much? |

My friends list is a quick phone book sometimes.Beats digging the mail
to contact them.No one can add to your friends list without you accepting.Sometimes I dont feel like typing and am in the stoopers.Like to look at the friends list to cheer up some.If I have someone on my friends list and we end up never talking I remove them. They are casual friends in the community. |
