What kills me is that most everyone's ancestors gave up their lives, left their families and travelled thousands of miles to a whole new country while few of their descendents refuse to travel outside their own area for love. Too strange a thinking for me! Very interesting point. |

Yes proof positive that it can work is my trip in 8 days to Jawja. When I scope things out, then I will be ready to move after a then 6-7 month courtship.
But therein lies the keyword... move. Someone has to be willing to sacrifice. But in love there is really no such thing, the keyword is compromise. And I will gladly suffer a small amount of inconvenience for a lifetime of happiness. ADDNOTE: this will be my second move for a person. True it took my ex-wife, whom I met online seven years of marriage to figure out it wouldn't work. But I wouldn't trade the 2000 mile move and experiences for anything in the world. |

believe that a long distance relationship can work? Having dabbled with this concept on and off (mostly off) for most of 2006, I would have to say no. Not for me anyway. |

no ...not for me... never tried it.....can't make me

In the short-term, absolutely!
But, I also think that day-to-day, real life interaction is essential to develop a TRUE sense of the other person. A short-term investment in -a long-distance relationship - could prove to be everything you desire. |

I believe so, the more distant, the more you miss, the more you love.

All relationships are work... It will depend on how much effort the couple wants to put into it, I suppose. And eventually one would have to be willing to relocate. I agree............ |
