I believe Love came over come many things...
Including distance! So my answer is Yes. |

Yes as long as both people are honest, open and willing to do what it takes to make it work!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I do believe in long distance love...With love all things are possible....
|
|

I think if both people involved are willing, it could work quite nicely.

A few of disenting views:
1. Absence makes the heart go wander. 2. Many believe if they are not near the one they love, then love the one they are near. 3. Out of sight, out of mind. You can meet on the internet, but distance makes any relationship much more difficult. The greater the distance the greater the difficulty. |

Good points Garden, but again, it depends on the people involved. With long distance, you have online and telephone and some even have web cams. So you spend hours talking, you get to know each other very well, and if you are totally honest with that person, as someone said the sexual part doesn't get in the way, so you learn about yourself and the person before anything physical enters the relationship.
I think it is possible, but not for everybody. Maybe age plays a part too. Older people may be more patient and willing to wait, than the younger, or vice versa in some cases, I don't know. Maybe depends on past relationships, past history, etc. In my case, it gives me a chance to really get to know the person inside and out, to know the real man, likes, dislikes, even the foods he doesn't like, TV shows, silly things, serious things, but after hours of talking if you can still find things to talk about then I would think that is a good sign. If there is still interest and caring there, after hours and hours of talking, then in my opinion, that is a good sign, and if one of the people is interested in relocating it makes it all the better, so no major hassles if things do work out when you meet the person, just when and where to move to. If there are young children involved and an ex with visitation rights, it throws a real monkey wrench into it sometimes, but for someone who has "no strings" I don't see why it wouldn't be a workable solution, at least for some people. I agree with what Snuggles and some of the others said above. Sorry this was so long, didn't mean to write a short novel. |

The key to any relationship is trust and communication. Without either, no relationship will last. I have never met anyone from online that lived farther than an hour away. That's not saying I'd never meet someone farther away, because I don't wanna limit myself. If things are met to be, they'll be.

If my son, or best freind moves, or decides to live across the world... Does this mean love has disappeared?
Of course long distance love. It's in the being, and heart and soul. Does this guarantees that someone you have little knowledge of will keep his/her "word" to you, or keep their genitals in check? No. Expectations go higher than the clouds, I think. |

at first no i didnt but then i started talking to this wonderful guy and we would meet every month only once 400 miles apart we both had jobs my required i work some weekends but we worked with it and then after about a year i moved with him and loving it
it all depends on how strong a bond you have with that other person |

That's a hard one to anwser. I myself couldn't handle a long distance relationship due to I like to cuddle. And being apart from someone that I'm involved with would make that difficult. But I have a friend who met her current husband online. And to make things more interesting she lives in California and he lived in Sweden. Talk about distance.
