ok,so not too long ago, this very pretty girl leaves me a messege, and we just start emailing each other for a while(shes offline now),anyways her answers are getting shorter and shorter, and its already getting harder to even email her(but we were talking for about an hour),cause i dont know what to say! and dammit, shes like me! she keeps short simple answers and since im a man of few words,i am trying really hard to keep the conversation going. What should i do?

Hmm.. perhaps this might help..
I was searching online and typed in "20 questions to ask a potential date".. it brought up all kinds of things.. might get you to think about other questions you could ask..or perhaps use some of those.. good luck, you can do it!! |

Well..umm two people that don't say much...thats a tough one..lol..
Mmhh..e-mailin is sometimes harder than maybe talking on the phone.. But that her answers are getting shorter and shorter may indicate a different issue..she may not be that interested..as u think she may be. Sounds like she is putting less effort in keeping the conversation going, and she may not be all that quiet of a person..I become very quiet around people I don't really care about..or that I don't want to talk to..so oit may be that she lost interest..thats just my observation. |

You're very welcome, I hope it helps! Just remember, I especially like a man who can carry on a conversation (not short answers) I don't like to feel that I have to do ALL the work.. c'mon you have it in you, I know you have LOTS to say/ask, you can do it!! If you are interested in her, TALK! |

I know that in email I can chat like crazy, but face to face or on the phone. I get really quiet.
It could be that on email she's feeling weird about typing all this personal stuff. Once she sees it on the screen it freaks her out. Or... Cinderella could be right. She really makes sense. I'd try the 20 questions thing... ask her a bunch (make some of them totally silly, like movie references and see if she gets it). If she answers all those questions with short answers... then be direct, and ask her what's up. |

I'm fairly new but I tend to do the same thing. It's not the fact that I don't like someone but I get nervous. I don't want to say the wrong thing and mess it up. But it takes me a while to warm up to people in general. On the phone is worse. I do think that the 20 questions would be a great idea. Jokes are another thing that help relieve some of the tension; just make sure that the jokes are not offensive. The biggest ice breaker I recieved was a knock knock joke. It was silly but it work.
