And "Cheneye" is WHO??? who said i would even think of giving you my best ???? oh, but the correct spelling of the person you speak of, is not important to you ??? nit picky , you say ? you call this an argument ??? My, you get your feathers so easily ruffled what would you do if something really important came along ???? |

No thank you....
anyway...madison man... words are tools ... and if you cannot use them appropriately... maybe you should put the tools down and get out of the garage ... and maybe consider another way of communication that would suit you better and if you want to speak on these forums and elsewhere ... then consider this ... < hone your skills in proper English > and most importantly ... i think that if you want to constantly criticize my Country ... the Country that my Family Members & so many others have fought and died for... the Country that I and so many others hold to be extremely sacred & so dear... and if you insist on accusing America of acting like Nazis similar to what <<< Old Sage >>> mentioned .... maybe you should seriously consider creating your own country somewhere else... |

I am glad most people do not spend there time correcting typos and spelling errors and its rather sad that I too had family members serve and die for this country, in fact I myself was in the army. I would think those good people would turn in there grave if they knew their lives would be sacrificed so our government could tear up the bill of rights and violate the geneva conventions and commit war crimes. Some will choose to live in a dream world and live in denial I see it for what it is and I am ashamed

Some will choose to live in a dream world and live in denial I see it for what it is and I am ashamed well, madison man... many people just don't know how to spell or use words correctly so someone who is not good at that sort of thing, most likely will not see the errors, but constructive criticism says that if a person wants to host threads and be a speaker ... then i would think that it is essential that you should get good, at what you like to do i have a clue as to what is important... i am not insensitive at all and i wasn't criticising your inner core... thank you for being in the Army and i am thankful for your family who died in the wars.... in no way do i want to live in denial i do know there are unscrupulous things that go on, even in our own country, but i try to have faith & hope that goodness shall prevail... |

and most people over look typing and spelling errors and focus on the topic unless of course they cannot make a realistic argument that is logical. Maybe you should just leave my threads alone if it bothers you so much eh? But I would prefer you stay on topic in my threads. Sorry your not able to see how "unamerican" our country has become but I am sure over time it will beging to sink in

To all those scoffing at the headline, Seymour Hersh is no lightweight. After exposing the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam conflict in 1969 he received the 1970 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting. He also wrote reports in 2004 regarding the mistreatment of detainees at Abu Ghraib prison which gained much recognition.
The fact that we’re hearing these kind of stories coming from reputable reporters like Hersh and not just the likes of Alex Jones, should be a wake up call to moderates who find it hard to believe that such clandestine and repugnant operations actually occur. Speaking at the Campus Progress journalism conference earlier this month, Seymour Hersh - a Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist for The New Yorker - revealed that Bush administration officials held a meeting recently in the Vice President's office to discuss ways to provoke a war with Iran. In Hersh's most recent article, he reports that this meeting occurred in the wake of the overblown incident in the Strait of Hormuz, when a U.S. carrier almost shot at a few small Iranian speedboats. The "meeting took place in the Vice-President's office. 'The subject was how to create a casus belli between Tehran and Washington,'" according to one of Hersh's sources. During the journalism conference event, I asked Hersh specifically about this meeting and if he could elaborate on what occurred. Hersh explained that, during the meeting in Cheney's office, an idea was considered to dress up Navy Seals as Iranians, put them on fake Iranian speedboats, and shoot at them. This idea, intended to provoke an Iran war, was ultimately rejected: HERSH: There was a dozen ideas proffered about how to trigger a war. The one that interested me the most was why don't we build - we in our shipyard - build four or five boats that look like Iranian PT boats. Put Navy seals on them with a lot of arms. And next time one of our boats goes to the Straits of Hormuz, start a shoot-up. Might cost some lives. And it was rejected because you can't have Americans killing Americans. That's the kind of - that's the level of stuff we're talking about. Provocation. But that was rejected. Hersh argued that one of the things the Bush administration learned during the encounter in the Strait of Hormuz was that, "if you get the right incident, the American public will support" it. "Look, is it high school? Yeah," Hersh said. "Are we playing high school with you know 5,000 nuclear warheads in our arsenal? Yeah we are. We're playing, you know, who's the first guy to run off the highway with us and Iran." http://current.com/items/89178696_cheney_considered_proposal_to_dress_up_navy_seals_as_iranians_and_shoot_at_them?xid=216 |
