Discovering you is an endless maze
as new depths unfold
with passing of days.
Your eyes capture mine
with a mesmerizing hold.
Like a child I'm feeling shy
and yet I am bold.

Gaining security with each new day,
I hang on your words
and savor what you say.
Such a comfort and ease
in your presence I feel,
Old wounds scarred over
have now begun to heal.

I'm laughing with a joy
unfelt for many years,
as you release all the chains
locked up by my fears.
No questions of doubt
like I have with the rest,
No eggshells to walk upon
with each movement a test.

Opening hidden vaults
I dreamt were long sealed,
A peaceful easy feeling
has been revealed.
So life is silently
letting me know
exactly how deep
these feelings can go.

Unleashing all the passions
still unknown to me,
by teaching me to trust,
while helping me see.
At night I lay awake
yearning for your touch,
never before this
did I want a woman so much!

You've unlocked doors
for which there was no key,
so "Keep this woman"
is my hearts final plea.
Freedom is calling me
in amazing new ways,
As my sensible mind
now drifts in a haze.

Suddenly jolting
as if from a sleep,
my heart now awakens
and emerges from deep.
My soul has responded,
when hearing your voice.
At last I may acknowledge
that I never had a choice!

On a path that destiny
so long ago paved,
This brave fractured soul
has at last been saved.
