Topic: One Final Vent

I have been reading the boards for almost two days now with out posting. I have seen a lot of "pity" boards. With people besides the OP complaining about them. My question on this topic is what is wrong with a little confidence boost? We all need one once in awhile. We all have our down days, and could use a little encouragement. There is NOTHING wrong with that. Why kick a person who is already down?

Maybe I am just a softy, too caring. Gullible maybe? Who knows. But I am REALLY out of here this time. There is only so much pain one person can take. Have a good one everybody.flowerforyou

I'm a Big Softy too...
People should not kick others when they are down.
If they don't like the post- stay the H*ll out
of it. How hard is that.
Sometimes in this world there are people who
really need to vent, and what you say to them
could make all the difference in the world.
Before you open your mouths... engage your brain!

I always try to post positive messages in those threads, but it gets drowned out by everyone laughing at the person. It pisses me off because we all do need a boost when we feel kicked around after a bad day, or getting rejected by a woman (like i did today!).

Its like they gang up on the person, and its normally the same group of people mad

I agree with you 100% if a person is depressed about something, it will only make them feel worse by jumping on them about wanting to talk about it. When someone needs to vent, it shouldn't be a pity-party.

Those are when someone joins every thread and keeps complaining about something else that is wrong in their life. It isn't attractive and it gets annoying.frustrated frustrated frustrated

i agree, when someones down, some people deliberatly make that person feel worse, and IMO thats just plain cruel.

poor crazysillygirl as just had bad news, and ive emailed offering my support, if everyone did that for each other the world would be a much happier place.

i bought my mom flowers today for no reason, little things like that mean a lot, because you know someones thinking of you.

If someone is feeling down and blue, I try to offer compassion and understand where they may be coming from.

LOL..........Although, I must confess that I tend to be a tad confrontational towards those that tend to attack others who may not always be able to fend for themselves.

My claws are sharp but, I only use them when my overprotective gene is in high gear.

I swear that all other times, I am very sweet or so Mom use to say...........
