You can track your child through their cell phone as long as it's not more than 2 years old, all of them come with GPS pretty much now. In fact a lot of them offer that as a selling point

Cell phone can be ditched. And not all cell's can be tracked; depends on the cell provider.

then what about a collar, and if they touch it,they get shocked:tongue:
d
Sounds sick. But that can be detached too. It is a tough question. What can be on your child's person that can't be detached without violating their adults rights. It is a tough question.

if it's a child than they have no adult rights

when i was a kid,the only right we had was the right to STFU and do what our parents said!.why's it not like that anymore?why do the parents now have to do what the kids say instead?rant

Do they get to do the same to you when you get up there in years?

I'm thinking in terms of finger prints. Is it OK for a parent to make a child's finger prints to the government without thier knowledge before they are a criminal (say they may be) or voluteer it themselves (as an adult). It is hard to say what is acceptable and not in that respect.

I think he meant something that is not permanent like a implanted chip, which would still be active when they become adults.

I think a parent has the right to, but I do not think it is a good parenting technique. I would not want anything that someone else could track, or anything that was permanent.

If you don't trust your kid enough to know where they are going and how long they will be done...I wouldn't blame the kid and track them. That is what you call an oxymoron.
