I went to the doctors today to get some nmore nebules for my nebuliser, and i asked if it was ok to use saline it the nebuliser to, and she said yes, so i said ill go to the chemist to buy some.
i went in the chemist and for x 20 2.5ML NEBULES COST £38.00 THATS 75 DOLLARS. I WAS SHOCKED, HOW CAN 20 TINY PODS OF SALINE COST 75 DOLLARS. so i went back in the doctors and they gave me a script for them and got them a lot cheaper. |

It's their way of controlling people basically, they know we depend on the drugs, so they're gonna charge an arm and a leg for em, to suck us dry. It's all a big scam when you think about it, we don't even need some of these drugs they have on the market, but we've been made to think we do.

It's special nebuliser saline created specially for the nebuliser. You can't use these pods anywhere else... all that specialness costs money... or how else would the makers of the nebuliser and the saline make a profit?

Would you be able to make your own pods for the nebuliser? Perhaps they're building in the cost of the convenience of being able to get pre-made pods?
I've used a nebuliser at my doctor's office, I'm just wondering how saline helps... is this nebuliser for asthma? |

I've used a nebuliser at my doctor's office, I'm just wondering how saline helps... is this nebuliser for asthma? Yes i have asthma and its for my nebuliser.. I Have my own nebuliser, my asthma isnt controlled and i get it severe, im having 80 ml of ventolin nebules a day, ventolin and seretide inhaler, and uniphyllin and im still very bad. today ive got a appt to see the top respiritory doc very soon. putting the ventolin nebule in and a saline nebule in helps clear your chest better and the nebuliser lasts longer, therefore it helps me much more. |

Ah... OK, thanks for filling me in. I didn't realize saline could be helpful for asthma. I have asthma, but I've got a daily inhaler to help keep it in check. Works pretty well for me, until I catch a cold. |

Works pretty well for me, until I catch a cold. i do about 12 puffs on my ventolin inhaler a day, and i use a steroid inhaler to, and unipyllin and massive doses of ventolin nebules, but i dont use the nebules all the time, ive got a chest infection at the moment thats why im massive doses. they have referred me to a resperitory doctor because my asthma isnt controlled and they fear i could die from a attack. people forget that asthma kills |
