Bless your heart... be proud, you've raised a child to adulthood, now it's your time!

That's completely natural. You can't make it go away and neither should you try to.

I totally understand. My daughter just turned 18. She leaves for boot camp on August 11. She decided that she wants to be a Marine. Boot camp is 13 weeks for the Marine Corp.

Hopefully he will enjoy it as much as My Son seems too. Maybe he will meet a gal like mine did and end up married with kids. Will think good thoughts for you. Pretty soon you will be getting calls all hours saying Mom you should see what I saw today lol. Least in the Military they can usually access a computer to chat.

Joyce, 15 yrs ago my son did the same thing.
Best thing that ever happened to him. August 15, I will be in Norfolk Va. to see him reinlist for his last 5 yrs. Ceremony will be held on the bow of the battleship Wisconsin, anchored there as part of a museum. Do you know what type of job he will be doing yet? |
