your 6 year old scolds you for being bad?

They just poured cement at my complex and I pulled off to write our names in the wet cement and my daughter scolded me that it was "bad" and to get back into the car. She then said "bad is bad and there's no excuse for it mommy."

Damn the good parenting when it doesn't suit me...

You can say, "You'll understand when you get older, honey. Sometimes, adults just have to do strange things. We are not 'evil' for doing a silly thing."

That is cute my daughter did that when she was three it just shows that they are listening to us and learning right from wrong ....

all I did was sprinkle water on the beech and she thought I was messing it up... I told her it is just water...

I would send myself to my room, but then I'd just take a nap, and that's not punishment so much.

tell her she is right... cause you have to set examples for your children in two ways... by actions and also admitting you were wrong...flowerforyou

I just asked her why it was bad, and she said "if we do it everyone will want to do it, and it's not ours to do that to."

I love that little bubba.

JT you gonna join me for a time out?

Geez people it's just cement...... It's not like I'm spray painting a building or anything.

I have a feeling that getting you to take a time out and be quiet for 15 minutes, might be a tall task.

laugh how cute!

Lily, this is an affirmation of the great job you are doing raising her! She knows right from wrong & is willing to speak up, even to an authority figure!

Imagine me raising a child who speaks up to authority... who woulda thunk it?

and thank you... She's an angel... She's not hard to parent.
