try a pinot noir or a shiraz or syrah you'll like those.. white zinfandel is what most start with it's sweet.. I prefer red zinfindel but it's a little bolder.. Cabernet Sauvignon is my absolute fav but might be a bit much to start... Cabs, pinots and red zins are my favs too

I'm not that "into" wine myself but I had a little experience with a restaurant I used to waitress at. One of the sweetest wines I have tasted was a 2001 chardonnay from J Winery (not J lohr). Gewurtztaminer is a traditionally sweet white wine also if I remember correctly. We featured a red wine once called Tempranillo that was quite sweet, almost like sangria. It is a Spanish wine made from dark grapes that ripen earlier in the season.
