I finally bought a cam. It does work, I've taken pic.'s with it but, for Yahoo messenger, I only have a black screen. Can anybody help? I have window's. The cam is a Philips.

try going to my webcam... and see if it loads up.... and once you are talking with someone then you can click on view my cam...
when you first plugged it in... did it install the drivers? |

Tanyaann, I'm realy green with this. It's a plug and play. I got no disc with it. How go I go to your webcam?

try going to my webcam... and see if it loads up.... and once you are talking with someone then you can click on view my cam... when you first plugged it in... did it install the drivers? dont uninstall anything, it would have automatically done it! on messenger.... in the menu options.... it should say 'my webcam' click on it... as long as you have it plugged into the port, it should load up and show you... it may have a shutter on the cam... adjust it so the picture isn't blurry.... if it doesn't look up.... unplug it and plug it back in again. otherwise, I would say read the book that came with it, b/c I'm lost after that. (or you can try going into the control panel of your computer and click on webcams, and look to see if it installed itself in there) |

well when you have yahoo up..... you go to options on most messengers (but could be different depending on your messenger) click on 'webcam' or 'my webcam' and it should bring it up or
if you are already chatting with someone they can request your cam and sometimes that will automatically bring it up if you click on allow for their request. |

Direction's only say to plug it in.The "New Hardware Found"message will appear, it did, and said it was ready to use. if so, look in the manual for a 1-800 to call for assistance. |
