Does anyone have a problem giving out their tel # like I do ?

I wouldn't say I have a problem, just that I'm very cautious.

I don't give it out until I've been talkin to someone online for quite awhile. Can never be to cautious.
If the guy doesn't like the fact that I won't give out the digits with the first conversation then oh well. He ain't really that interested in gettin to know me as a person I say. |

Gosh, there's nothing worse than thinking you've been talking with someone nice only to really regret it later. It costs time and money to change a phone number! I'd have to be IM'ing and emailing for quite a while to give out my phone number.

If i like someone, then i want to talk with them live...the constant emailing back & forth is great for friendships but a waste if you are thinking of meeting the person....
you really need to hear the voice, & have them respond live to get a true flavor for the person....if you are worried about being stalked(what about all those 'cold calls' by people trying to get you to buy something), then take down their number.... I always offer mine if they prefer.... |

I'd have to be pretty confident in that person before I gave out my phone #. I'm not as trusting as I was when I was younger!

I have a cell# that I can give out at first. I've only given my home # to 2 people. Thankfully the other 1 respected my wishes.
