Topic: National Security Experience! | |

In the Military has a saying, "loose lips, sink ships."
Im sure every one has heard this, and would probably agree it is even more or just as important for a President! Right? Well check this out! Republican presidential candidate John McCain said on Friday that his Democratic opponent, Barack Obama, is likely to be in Iraq over the weekend. The Obama campaign has tried to cloak the Illinois senator's trip in some measure of secrecy for security reasons. The White House, State Department and Pentagon do not announce senior officials' visits to Iraq in advance. "I believe that either today or tomorrow -- and I'm not privy to his schedule -- Sen. Obama will be landing in Iraq with some other senators" who make up a congressional delegation, McCain told a campaign fund-raising luncheon. The Reuters piece hints at it. But if Obama is going to be in Iraq this weekend, this is a major breach on McCain's part. As a knowledgeable insider notes ... If it is true that Obama is going to Iraq this weekend, it is a very serious mistake for McCain to have disclosed it publically. Even for run-of-the-mill CODELs the military gives guidance like, "Please strongly discourage Congressional offices from issuing press releases prior to their trips which mention their intent to travel to the AOR and/or the dates of that travel or their scheduled meetings. Such releases are a serious compromise to OPSEC." If Obama is going to Iraq this weekend, I can not begin to imagine how much this is complicating the security planning for the trip. It's known that Obama is leaving on his foreign trip this weekend and the Journal OpEd page this morning said that Obama could arrive in Iraq "as early as this weekend." And with a slew of reporters in tow, it's not exactly highly classified information. But there is a reason definite information about these sorts of trips aren't released in advance. Hypothetically, maybe McCain was just guessing. But even so it would still be a serious lapse of judgment on his part. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/204672.php You would think a former POW would know not to do this better than anyone. You'd think!!!! Maybe he did it on purpose, or maybe he's just McConfused!! |

Fanta, I don't know if you ever listen to Coast to Coast radio show but there is a good guest on now, Robert Young Pelton. He has an interesting perspective on Iraq that I think you would like.

I'll check out!
McConfused has had a bad weekend aye? If Obama doesnt shoot up by 25 pts in this weeks polls there is something extremely defunct in Americans thinking! How can anyone take him serious now? |

Fanta, I agree with you completly. A very unproffesional move. Make you wonder what he thinks he has to rely on. And 'Fanta,' that's funny, I got hooked on orange Fanta while I was there. Had never had it before. All the same, it'll be a question of which dirtball is less dirty again. Negative campaigning and all.

In the military it would at the very least get you court-marshaled. possibly tried for treason. As Commander-N-Chief???? We're talking serious chit! |

First things first.....
Senetors have no bussiness visiting foriegn countries. Second... Obama stated what he was doing before he left so any terrorest knew about his travels. Thirdly... I hope that he finds a roadside b*** while wasting your tax dollars....!!!! |
|
|
|
That's a pretty morbid statement whether he should be there or not. I don't even wish that on McCain.
Perhaps others though... |

>Senetors have no bussiness visiting foriegn countries.
He's not the first and as a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, he does have an offical reason to go! It's his second trip to Iraq, first to Afghanistan >Obama stated what he was doing before he left so any terrorest knew about his travels. Negative! He announced he would be going, but never exactly when. >I hope that he finds a roadside b*** while wasting your tax dollars....!!!! This statement doesnt deserve a comment. |

The Councel of Foriegn Relations is a sh*tty mask for= The Councel of People Who Are Gonna Tell Everyone Else How It Should Be. That is why they go, they already feel as though it is their duty. Why? Because they already know they may be the person to make those decisions. The CFR are tied in with the Builderberg Group. They also make many decisions of 'how it's gonna be.' Obama was there, Hilary was there, and I'm not sure, but I'd bet McCain was there. Like George Carlin said, "It's a party, and none of you are invited." Or something to that respect. It's ruling powers outside of the government. Dirtballs, all of them. Find the least dirty dirtball, or, somehow, everyone must write in someone else. |

I'm not Republican, not by any means, but I must say Ron Paul was a voice of reason. He knows his sh*t. He actually studys it all (Monetary Policy). Only someone with an intimate knowledge of the problem can find a solution. Better yet, the person who will be honest and forth right about the problem should be the person trusted to solve it. He admits something is wrong. No one else has. Ron Paul, Rep. and all, has been honest. Of all, he was the only respectable one. If you have no idea what I'm speaking of, watch some of his speeches on youtube. Better yet, watch his comfessions to the camera itself, because it is meant only for those who see it-no agenda, he's been out for a while. Not to sound like a chior boy for him, but... he has been blatenly honest and has back up what he says with fact. Others have relied on juvenile slander and statements. Ron Paul would do a good job even for Democrates.

Palestinian officials said on Monday that he would meet with the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, and other leaders in Ramallah on July 23.
A more exactness of his itinerary is all over the net. Read the New York Times. |

Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas is not an American!
He is not a Presidential candidate, ex-US military, or ex-POW! If McConfused can not follow the simple procedures set forth by the State Dept about keeping his mouth shut concerning the plans of official visits abroad, then he shouldn't have been a hypocrite *****ing when the press released a story announcing his son was serving in Iraq. It also makes me wonder whether he can keep his mouth shut about state secrets when he is President, and whether the reports about him blabbing as a POW to his captures are true! |

Molehills only become mountains if you let them. Serious chit there now, and I agree. Look at the mountain that grew during Bush's second term compared to the molehill that was created by his first term! What will we get if McConfused is elected to a Bush third term? Mt St Helens??? |

I hope he is going to wear his ninja wear!

All I was trying to say is that if you going to make a mountain out of McCain saying Obama is likely to be in Iraq over the weekend when everyone this side of the moon that keeps up with that kind of stuff knows that fact .....Geez, common on now...
