I like the Amish country, Redding. I've been to Hershey years ago. I like Lancaster, Bird in Hand, Intercourse, PA. Been there years ago, but remember that I liked it very much.

I live in Lancaster County, it's a pretty high traffic area for tourists who want to see the Amish. I grew up in the Poconos, and my favorite in-state vacation area is Wellsboro. So there you have it. 3 popular touristy areas.

Hershey and Hershey Park. Along the main street you can smell chocolate in the air.

Tell me more about Hersey. I have been seeing some nice resorts there. I know you can do a tour of the Hersey factory and the street light are suppose to look like candy Kisses. Any nice restaurants in the area? Is it worth the visit?

Any nice restaurants in the area? Is it worth the visit? I've been on that factory tour like, 4 times... think "it's a small world after all" ride except they're singing "hershey's chocolate" A lot of the street lamps are shaped to look like kisses if I do remember correctly. Lots of restaurants in the area, it's a big tourist area because of Hershey Park. The hershey hotel also has a very nice restaurant (I have a friend who works there) and they have full chocolate themed bars, spas, etc. |

The Yuenling Brewery
Oldest brewery in the country is right in Pa. |
|
|
|
That's Yuengling..my favorite beer!!!!
Pottstown PA is where the brewery is. I grew up in PA near Altoona. A great place to raise kids. Lots of farm country. 4-wheeling and dirt biking along with hunting are VERY big there. Football is the major sport with baseball a close second. Hershey Park is a great tourist spot and if you are on the Pittsburgh side hit Kennywood park. They have some of the biggest roller coasters in the country!! |
